About TASC2 TASC2
is designed to allow USAID Missions and Bureau to easily access high quality technical
assistance and support for their activities in maternal and child health,
nutrition, infectious disease, and HIV/AIDS. TASC2 works worldwide and has
three separate tiers of contractors.
- The first tier, TASC2-Global Health,
contains 10 contractors and many sub-contractors, covering the entire spectrum
of USAID-supported health, infectious diseases, and population areas.
- The
second tier, TASC2-TB, consists of three contractors and a score of
subcontractors, specializing in TB activities.
- The third tier, TASC2-Media/Communication,
consists of three contractors and a different set of subcontractors,
specializing in a wide range of media, PR, press relations and communications
activities.
The combination of prime and sub-contractors available under
the three TASC2 tiers (see the directory) provides a diverse mix of talents, skills, and experience
as well as opportunities to work with many new partners. TASC2 also
includes two small business set asides among its prime contractors and many more
among its sub-contractors.
Assistance procured through a task order with any one of the 16 TASC2 prime
contractors can be long-term or intermittent, depending on mission or bureau
requirements. Task orders awarded under TASC2 can extend up to 36 months
beyond the end date of the contract, September 30, 2008, as long as they are
awarded before that end date. Task orders are developed, awarded and
managed by the requesting unit (the USAID Mission or Bureau). The Global
Health Bureau in Washington provides guidance and assistance when requested
(please send the request to Elizabeth Fox).
