AED has enjoyed a long working relationship with USAID on a broad array of global health, population and nutrition initiatives. With our partners, AED can support your effectiveness in several ways under the TASC II Media and PR contract.
We are equipped to develop cross-cultural PR strategies, as well as PR campaigns and calibrated messages, based on our experience at regional and local levels worldwide. We understand the complexities of this process—from both sides. This is a painstaking process if done properly, but it can save time, money—and misunderstandings—later on.

If you need assistance:

…Getting the right message in the media
We can train spokespeople, help shape your message and design a media strategy

…Getting PR right the first time
We can help you perceive accurately, think strategically, and plan successfully

…Clarifying your messages to your audiences and stakeholders
We can conduct focused research as well as polling to know who your audience is

…Dealing with a program that has gone off track or facing an unforeseen event
We are equipped to provide crisis management on an immediate basis

…Ensuring that USAID is positioned to be perceived positively for its work
We can develop a strong identity so USAID is easily identified by local leaders
and receive legitimate credit for your results

AED operates in over 65 countries and has represented CDC, NIH, HHS, USAID, as well as commercial healthcare consumer manufacturers and health associations. AED has assembled a cohesive team of international leaders in health care media and PR, to offer clear thinking and well-timed responses, targeting your message to audiences that need to be reached.
Partnered with AED on this effort are Wirthlin Worldwide, a strategic research organization with experience in over 90 countries; GYMR, a Washington-based health care public relations and advocacy agency, Ketchum Public Relations, an international public relations agency with a presence in 50 cities around the world, and Idea Design, a multimedia and graphic design firm that has worked with USAID projects in 40 countries.
We also assess programs—as they are being implemented—so that lessons learned can be incorporated into ongoing improvements as your work goes forward. Finally, we conduct quality formative research to guide, measure and evaluate key data, to ensure that the core objectives of USAID’s programs are being achieved.
