Initiatives Inc. is a woman owned small business with over 15 years of experience providing technical and programmatic support to USAID programs across the globe. In our unique position as a small business awarded a Global Health TASC 2 we are privileged, under the fair opportunity exception, to respond directly to TASC contracts submitted by USAID missions. For TASC 2 we have assembled a team of institutions with demonstrated leadership and expertise in international public health. The Initiatives Inc. Global Health Team is comprised of:

The Initiatives Inc. Global Health Team is dedicated to providing innovative, efficient, effective and responsive technical support in the field of international public health. Our longstanding reputation for quality programs and our extensive experience working with USAID, prepare us to provide the highest quality support available. To meet the full scope of USAID’s health and population initiatives, our team offers senior, mid-level and junior professionals with a diversity of geographic, linguistic and technical expertise. The range of our technical capabilities positions us to respond to the technical and programmatic needs of USAID missions and their host-country partners. The scope of our experience prepares us to provide technical assistance in all regions of the world. 

Our team members have worked to expand access and availability in a variety of clinical and community reproductive health services encompassing: family planning, maternal care, post-abortion care, and obstetric complications. In the area of nutrition, we can provide technical expertise in programs related to micronutrients, macronutrients, food aid, food security, sustainable approaches to improved nutrition, nutrition for children and mothers, and breast feeding. The Initiatives Inc. Team also has longstanding and wide-ranging experience in the field of infectious disease. Our knowledge covers, malaria, TB, diarrheal diseases, acute respiratory infections, HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, and community disease surveillance. Our team also has demonstrated leadership in the field of child health having managed programs in child nutrition, disease prevention, and IMCI. In the area of policy and health systems development we have worked in health sector reform, human resources management, health systems financing, planning, quality assurance, and organizational capacity building in governmental, NGO, and community-based health programs. The Initiatives Inc. Team also offers expert capabilities in training and a wide range of research methodologies and topics including: health services research, clinical studies, operations research, participatory analysis, and health systems analysis. In all theses areas and more, we provide technical excellence founded on broad-based state-of-the-art knowledge and years of practical experience.
