healthCONNECT is the consortium of TASC2 partners led by Emerging Markets Group, Ltd. (EMG), an independent firm associated with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. 

Emerging Markets Group is a private development consulting firm serving donor agencies and developing country governments. Based in its corporate offices in Washington DC, London, and Brussels, and in project sites around the world, EMG’s professionals are committed to excellent client service, sustainable development impact, and to improving peoples’ lives. 

Within the health sector, EMG’s technical areas of focus include:

EMG offers significant experience in strengthening the capacity of public and private service delivery institutions involved in reproductive health/family planning, maternal/child health, HIV/AIDS, and infectious disease. EMG is also highly experienced in health sector performance monitoring and program evaluation. Through its association with local Deloitte offices, EMG has a presence in over 130 countries.

Global Exclusive Partners:
Pathfinder International brings core strengths in managing and implementing health service delivery programs, with special expertise in improving the quality of services for family planning, reproductive health, STI prevention and management, FP/HIV integration, HIV prevention and mitigation, PMTCT, and home/community based care for PLWHA.

IntraHealth International’s extensive experience in clinical training and quality assurance approaches adds a significant resource to the healthCONNECT team. IntraHealth designs and implements state-of-the-art training programs for physicians, nurses and midwives, and has expertise in quality improvement, provider performance, and human capacity development.

CEDPA empowers women at all levels of society to be full partners in development through in-country training that has assisted more than 5,000 women and men from 140 countries. CEDPA’s technical areas include policy, advocacy, gender, communications/dissemination, and training. 

The International Science and Technology Institute (ISTI) provides technical assistance and training in tropical and infectious disease, nutrition, family planning, food security, financing, surveillance and laboratory development, as well as management and support for successful service delivery.

Population Reference Bureau (PRB) works to analyze, disseminate, and use research findings and survey data for evidence-based decision making; develop and implement results-oriented policy communication strategies; build capacities in dissemination techniques; and mobilize journalists to expand coverage of critical health issues.

Regional and Non-exclusive Partners:
Africare provides expert assistance for African countries, with a focus on HIV/AIDS, food security and agriculture, environmental management, water resources development, and emergency humanitarian aid. To date, Africare has delivered more than $450 million in assistance - representing 2,000 projects and millions of beneficiaries - to 35 countries Africa-wide. 

ICDDR, B: Centre for Health and Population Research is a world-renown international research, service and training institution based in Bangladesh that brings over 40 years’ experience in the fields of child health, infectious disease and vaccine sciences.

The Central American Health Institute’s (Instituto Centroamericano de la Salud – ICAS) mission is to improve the health of people in Latin America. ICAS has become a world pioneer in the use of voucher schemes in health, and an acknowledged expert in public-private partnerships in reproductive health.

Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) brings research and technical assistance experience in maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, epidemiology, health economics and finance, pharmaceutical policy, health management and planning, complex humanitarian emergencies and mental health services. 

Population Services International is the leading social marketing organization in the world, with programs in more than 70 countries. PSI uses social marketing techniques to provide health products, services and information, and individual and community behavior change, primarily within family planning, reproductive health, and HIV/AIDS programs.

Howard Delafield International (HDI) is a marketing and communication consulting firm with expertise in international public health and the environment. HDI designs and implements strategic, culturally appropriate, impact-oriented, audience-focused behavior change interventions and demand generation promotional campaigns.
